For more information about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine, or enable remote errors


  • Open Reporting Services Configuration Manager
  • Click on Report Manager URL
  • Click Report URL (This will launch IE which I hope if your default browser)
  • Drill into

Click on the Database Source

Now be able to change the authentication method or user associated to the Reporting Database. Make sure you Test Connection after you have made the change

--. without locally stored credentials ... good things like subscriptions won't work
