Scale your Power BI reporting with Dataflows

Summary:

In this session, I'll take you on my journey to a business intelligence solution for small and medium-sized businesses. We start with a classic on-premises solution based on Microsoft SQL, move on to a Power BI only solution, which we then extend with Dataflows. Finally, there is an outlook on how the solutions could be extended in the future.

Abstract:

Insight into the original on-premises solution with MS SQL Server, based on SSIS, SSAS, SSRS and Excel.

Description of the new cloud native Power BI only solution. Using Power BI Desktop as ETL, modeling and visualization tool and deployment in Power BI Service.

Concept for extending the Power BI only solution with Power BI Dataflows for a multi-company scenario. Experiences from the implementation and what to consider when using Power BI Pro licensing.

Finally, a few ideas are shared on how to further extend the solution using Power BI Premium, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse or Azure Analysis Services.

Then, we need to follow bellow solution: Step 1: Go to Task Manager–> Details Tab. Step 2: Locate the process “ DtsDebugHost.exe “. Kill this process. There might be multiple instances of this process. Kill all of them. Step 3: Rerun SSIS package
