Sequence Container

Sequence container is sequence of dataflow tasks which executes the task sequentially. If one of the unit of task fails then sequence container fails.
Step 1:
Click Windows button and go to SQL Server 2008 R2 and run as a administrator.


It shows  a bellow window.


Step 2:


Go to a views and create a new project ( Short cut of New Project is Ctrl + Shift + N).


Step 3:


Give a project name (e.g. IS) and click OK button and then shows a bellow window.


Step 4:
Drag and drop the sequence container


Step 5: 
Drag and drop two Script tasks in Container



Step 6:
Edit script task 


Step 7: 
Click on Edit script


Step 8: 
Add a code as MessageBox.Show(“Welcome to RS”);



Step 9:
Edit script task 1


Step 10:
Click edit script


Step 11: 
Add a code as  MessageBox.Show(“Welcome to IS”);



Step 12: 
For Sequence container ,Right click and Select the option Properties.


Step 13: 
Set the Properties as


                  Transaction Option – Supported,
            Forced execution value – True.



Step 14: 
For Script Task, Right click and Select the option Properties.



Step 15: 
Set the Properties as


                  Transaction Option – Supported,
            Forced execution value – True.



Step 16: 

For Script Task 1, Right click and Select the option Properties.


Step 17: 

Set the Properties as


                  Transaction Option – Supported,
            Forced execution value – True.



Step 18: 
Right click Sequence Container and Execute the container.


Step 19: 
Output: Welcome to RS.


Click on OK then Script task 1 will execute and the output will be as follows:


Click on OK and the output will look as
